Patricia Majano

Licensed Trauma Touch Therapist & Somatic Educator

Hola! I Am Patricia Majano. Your Partner-in-Healing.

Through the implementation of Complementary and Integrative Health (CIH) interventions, my mission is to invite, educate, guide, encourage, and support those seeking a deeper connection to themselves and others, an improved quality of life and easeful living.

My person-centered and relational approach encourages collaborative engagement, mutual trust and a sense of safety. It is an honor to facilitate, witness and partner with you on your healing path.

Populations with a special place in my heart include: veterans, older adults (seniors), caregivers and under-served communities.

My journey from Bluejacket to Yogini

After 10 years of service in the US Navy, I separated to pursue a degree in accounting and inadvertently discovered the mental and emotional benefits of yoga, as well as the physical and physiological benefits of massage therapy.

In the spirit of wanting fellow veterans to experience yoga’s benefits for themselves and through the encouragement of Expedition Balance, I completed yoga teacher training and began teaching yoga at the VA Medical Center in Houston.

Eventually, I shifted career tracks and dove wholeheartedly into the “new” and unconventional profession of yoga therapy.

In 2016, a year into my yoga therapy grad school program at Maryland University of Integrative Health, I became my mother’s primary caregiver when she began showing signs of dementia.

Additionally, I noticed that mom was showing signs of PTSD, anxiety and depression. I began incorporating mindfulness and therapeutic yoga tools in my approach to care; intuitively, I knew that mom needed gentle, loving, healing touch [to help calm her nerves and anxiety].

During massage and bodywork therapy training, I discovered a new calling and a re-connection to my ancestry and roots.

I founded my business, Hola Beloved (previously The Luna Haven) out of love and necessity. I needed flexibility in my schedule in order to care for a progressively fragile parent.

Mom passed away in December 2020 and I intentionally took a year to grieve, heal, nourish and replenish.

To my core I am dedicated to continuous personal and professional growth, being of service to others and collaboration over competition.

At Hola Beloved I integrate Holistic Bodywork, Intuitive Movement and Somatic Alchemy to guide and facilitate optimal living, healing and well-Being.

An essential component of my practice is encouraging you to notice your { body breath mind heart Soul } connection. To practice self-compassion, self-care and gratitude…

I invite you to tap into your inherent wisdom, your body’s innate healing capabilities, your essence, power and intuition…

It is an honor to facilitate, witness and partner with you on your holistic healing path.

I AM

Trauma Sensitive

Responding sensitively to partners-in-healing who have experienced trauma includes individualizing care to help them avoid triggers and developing autonomy, self-agency, and safety.

Furthermore, we focus on your healing, growth and resiliency.

Contemplative

Contemplative Care is an approach to giving care that incorporates mindfulness practice, compassionate action, and moment-to-moment awareness while in relationship with the one being cared for.

It is rooted in Buddhist practices of meditation and contemplation.

Collaborative

I acknowledge your innate wisdom and recognize that reaching for support is not always easy. You do not have to do this alone. Together we engage in deep, transformative and sacred healing work.

Collaboration and feedback before, during and after each session are highly encouraged.

Doing and sharing this healing work I love would not be possible without the teaching, guidance, encouragement, and inspiration from many teachers and mentors.

Massage & Bodywork Partner-in-Healing

I had a very nice time with Patty. We caught up while destroying trigger points that line my scapula. She was super in tune with my needs and promoted healthy breath and relaxation. 10/10 ♥
